At Health Clinics we have a multidisciplinary team consisting of a physician, nutritional support nurse, dietitians and a pharmacist. Team members work collectively to monitor and advise on the nutritional management of all patients. This includes assessment of nutritional status and determination of specific nutritional needs based on metabolic monitoring.
Health Clinics is dedicated to providing the most current information about diet and nutrition to our patients and their families. The Department also offers individual counseling services by assigning a dietitian to identify patients at nutritional risk and plan nutrition intervention as needed. This function includes the education of families who are taking their child home on a modified diet and monitoring patients receiving enteral and parenteral nutrition. In addition, clinical dietitians can provide physicians with diagnostic information on children with poor growth, feeding problems and/or eating concerns.
